The 485 was one of the last two FL9s to remain on the Amtrak roster, but had been relegated to mostly MOW and protect service by the time this photo was taken.
Amtrak FL9's were assigned to Albany for use between Albany and New York City for third rail operations into Grand Central. Every now and then one would make a run west of Albany to Niagara Falls.... (more)
